Friday, May 30th, 2008

Oh yes the wonderful memorial day picnics. I absolutely love them! Here are the kiddos on Papa’s new wheelchair ramp while visiting my parents over memorial day.

Here’s Monty with Aunty Summer’s new pup, Mo. Ivan is checking him out too. Papa was able to get out of the house and enjoy the nice day thanks to Uncle Joe, Old Joe and Grandma P. :) He has a new ramp and they are able to wheel him out now we just have to figure out how to get him in the car and he will be set. :)

GG with her new dog ( a lovely gift from Martin and Dee Dee) and Ella holding Mo.

Too cute! I love that smile on my sweet little niece.

Down and out

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

Sorry to all of the people who had come to our site yesterday and today to find that it wasn’t working. Charity got 4 phone calls telling her that our blog was down. Meanwhile, our internet connection at home is quite spotty these days, so we couldn’t connect from home to check it out.

About 15 minutes ago I got an email from the company that lets me use their servers so we can have They were doing some major upgrades and found that one of the changes caused database connections to not work. I looked at it this morning and couldn’t figure out what was going on. Anyway, that is the exact problem our blog was having. I went through the steps they emailed me to fix the problem. So we are now back online! This is probably the 1st unplanned outage that this blog has had :)

Monty loves taking care of Gavyn and has been a great help.

Ella loved driving Gavyn into trees while Summer was having a hernia Hee hee just kidding but it is her first so she freaks out about everything. :)

Keep those eggrolls rollin

Monday, May 19th, 2008

Oh what a wonderful Saturday I had. Mai Chou and her husband Va Mai came over to teach me how to make Hmong eggrolls. It was sooo fun and yummy. Mai Chou has gotten to know our family pretty well over the last couple of years. We take her and her husband to church quite a bit and I am able to talk to her about lots of interesting things. Her husband doesn’t speak any english so I don’t know him too well except that he is always so smiley. Funny story he wore a jacket to church on Sunday that on the back in flourescent colors said Beer Delivery Guy! They had no idea what it said and here he was passing out the Sunday programs. Oh they crack me up. One more quick story Mai Chou (My Chew) loves the kids and she is always saying Hi Baby and squeezing their cheeks. Todd went to go pick them up one Sunday and Monty asked him where he was going he said to go pick up Mai Chou Monty got upset and said, “Daddy thats not your chew that’s Mommy’s chew. Hee hee I thought that was pretty cute. Also Calvie said when asked what her name was while making eggrolls he pointed to me and said, “your chew momma”. Ok back to making eggrolls. Well I know how to make them now and we ended up making around 100 oh yes 100!!

Busy at work. Mai Chou only has one arm and she is amazing at all she is able to do.

Here’s Ella rolling them she was so excited to help

She loved it!

Ta Da

We all had lots of eggrolls to eat that night for supper even Ollie loved them! Monty ate 6!

Fun in the sand

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

We went up to Rib Mountain the other day and played at the playground. Monty and his friends Jamison and Tristan were sure to climb the big rocks while the littler ones played in the sand. Ollie had fun it’s the first time he ever played in the sand.

First he touches it and isn’t too sure

Ohh this is neat

You can’t tell but he has a mouth full of it in this pic. :)

Here’s Ella, Calvin, and Ollie with our friend Bella. It was a fun day. I am so excited that we are starting to have nicer weather.

Our trip to Target

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

I love target. The security lady who also greets us when we come in always kind of chuckles when she sees me coming.  Well I found out why the other day. She was walking around asking people if she could help them find anything when she came to my isle and started to ask me and then instead said, “Oh Hi I don’t need to ask you. I am sure you know where everything is in this store”. Oh yes I think we are going to be on a first name basis soon. :)

Or of course she could remember me because this is usually how we look when we go to Target.

All dressed up

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

I tried to take a nice pic of the kids before church. Monty insisted on wearing a yellow tie with a striped shirt, Calvin insisted on wearing Ollie’s hat and Ella enjoyed sucking on Ollie’s hand. :) Oh well I think its still pretty cute.

Today’s the big day

Today’s the big show…

Well today Ella had her dance recital. It was so exciting and we were so happy to have family and friends come to see her. She was so cute and grown up. I got a bit teary eyed at the rehersal but held it together today :)

Here’s Ella right before the show with her friend Allie.

Here she is right after the show. Monty gave her purple flowers. He wanted to get her purple ones. He was so excited to give them to her. We were walking back to the van and Ella turns around to him and says, “Monty, thank you for the flowers me love them.” Monty went on to tell her that he wanted purple ones for her and she said, “Me love pink, blue………and purple flowers”.

Here’s Ella with our friend April.
