My boys!

Friday, March 27th, 2009

Here are the shirts I did for the boys. I just cut out some material and attached it to the shirts. They love them. Yeah! Calvin has slept in his outfit and wore it under his clothes because he loves it so much. I did take a lot of pics but this one turned out the best I know I know pathetic. Ollie is so funny because tonight I was looking at pics on the camera and as soon as he saw the camera he ran to the wall and said, “eee” for cheese. He cracks me up. He is at such a fun age he keeps us laughing that is for sure. Such a little ham.

This one is for Zach

My brother who lives in Colorado keeps asking for a picture of Calvin with his new glasses. I did take a pic of him in his glasses but he got new glasses because the other ones were way too big. He is so good with his glasses. Ollie however is not so good with them he thinks it is hilarious to take them off of Calvie and run with them. Calvin gets so worked up and then Ollie will throw them back to him. Man oh man.

Also just a little tidbit I did make those shorts and added the pic to the tshirt! :) Just had to get that in there. I felt bad always making stuff for Ella and not the boys so I decided to make short outfits for the little boys and then the same thing for Monty except he could wear them as PJ’s.

Monkey Joes

Friday, March 27th, 2009

Well it is spring break and it has been very cold, rainy and even snowy. I decided to take the kids to Monkey Joes in Appleton to play. We went with some friends and had a wonderful time. The kids loved it and so did I. :)

That is Calvie coming down the big slide when we first got there he tried going up it and was too afraid so he came back down. Finally after watching Amy go with Bella down it I decided I should go on it too and let me tell you it was fast. I took Calvin down it and after that he was hooked he would have stayed there the whole time if I let him.

Ollie had a great time too. He wasn’t sure about it at first but then he really got into it and I think he would have been happy staying there all day. They had a section for 3 and under so there wasn’t any bigger kids running around which was really nice. Parents could go on all the stuff too they just couldn’t bounce on it.

Ella also really liked the slide. She liked the whole thing especially hanging out with Monty, Jamison and Tristan. Monty loved it too, but he is at that fun age where he thinks its so funny to not let me take his picture. All the pictures I have of Monty there are blurry because he is running away. Little stinker.

Yes she will!

Will Ella wear this?

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Ok so its not a skirt or a dress, but there are ruffles. I just finished making this and am hoping Ella will wear it. My friend, Amy use to buy, but now makes these capris/gouchos for her daughter, Bella and I think they are the cutest so today I went to a new sewing store and bought the fabric and thanks to Amy was able to whip these up tonight. Then I took a white shirt and cut out flowers from the material and attached them to the shirt. That was my trickiest part I am NOT good at that I thought I would be able to just zig zag it on boy was I wrong. I had to rip it out 3x before I said forget it and now I am just leaving it how it is. My friend, Sue made it sound so easy when she did her daughters shirts either I don’t know what I am doing or just didn’t understand. :)  I then decided to make a matching hair bow. Yes I am a dork these things really get me excited so instead of waking up my family to tell them I decided to blog about it. I did however go and measure Ella while she was sleeping so hopefully it will fit. :)

Sleep over fun!

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Ella had her cousin, Saylea over for a sleepover.  The girls had so much fun. The 2 older boys slept over at Jason and Logan’s house so I was able to be all girly with the girls. We had so much fun renting something besides Star Wars, painting our nails, curling our hair and making bracelets. Ella usually ends up playing lightsabers with her brothers which is totally fine and great but let me tell you it was nice to be super de duper girly. :)

First they made bracelets from a cool kit Saylea got Ella for her birthday.

We did rag roll curls.

Little curly girlys

Don’t forget the nails!

Can’t wait until little miss cousin R and little Laney can join in on the fun! :)

Humanitarian Night

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

Last week Thursday they had a humanitarian night at my parents church. I was so touched by what they were doing that I decided to drive to Rapids to meet with the group that evening. They were making fleece blankets for the dialysis patients in honor of my dad. They were making enough to take to Marshfield dialysis center (where my dad would go) Stevens Point and Rapids.

Here’s Bea and Laney tying the blankets. I really had a lot of fun.

Happy Birthday Ella!!

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Our little Ella is 5 today!! I cannot believe it. She came upstairs this morning and said, “mom am I really 5?” She was so excited. I cannot believe how fast 5 years has gone. I was looking through pictures and boy did it make me sad to see how fast they have grown.

Ella just born!

Monty always wanted to be by her.

No hair!

No problem just glue a bow on her head! Thanks to my cousin Kim Ella always had a bow glued to her head :) Don’t worry it was non toxic elmers glue! She is 1 here.

2 already!

3 years old and full of lots of spunk!

4 years old and now insists on only wearing dresses. She would always wear them but I could get her to wear pants before her 4th birthday right after that it was ONLY dresses or skirts.

Today 5 and still will only wear dresses or skirts!

Ella is such a joy to have in our family. She definitely keeps us on our toes. She is funniest little thing and always brings a smile to our faces. Happy Happy Birthday Ella!

Ollie pop!

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Ollie loves to get into everything. He is always pulling stuff out and getting it all over. Especially cereal.

I am constantly cleaning up after him. :)

My new thing.

Ok so I loved making mittens and then moved onto dresses but a girl can only have so many dresses so then I moved onto hair bows!

I mean she needs hairbows to go with her new dresses. :)
