So our dear little Ella is getting older and we decided to talk to her about modesty, ok truthfully we have been doing it for a long time now, if it were up to her dad she would be in a turtle neck and sweatpants at all times :) Should be fun those teenage years.

Monty has friends over and Ella needs to be reminded to go change in the bathroom and not to show her underwear. She is quite the interesting little girl.

The other day Ella and Calvin were in the backyard going on a treasure hunt they had their treasure map and Ella had her pretend cell phone (of course) She was pointing to different areas in the backyard and showing Calvie where to go. I just sat in the house watching them through the window laughing to myself because Calvin was following her every move and she was so serious while talking on her pretend phone it was the cutest thing and I wished I would have had my camera at the time.

Calvin is so skinny and none of his 3t shorts fit him but he really likes his jean pair so he insisted on wearing them he even asks for them by saying, “I want my fall off shorts”. Yes I know this should be a clue that he shouldn’t be wearing them, but I do roll them over and they usually stay on.

Ella all of a sudden must have found the treasure she yelled for Calvin to come check it out he ran as fast as his little legs could take him and stopped real fast only to have his pants fall down.

Ella immediately came running in the house and said, “MOM CALVIE IS NOT BEING VERY MODEST!!”

Safety City

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

We have a wonderful program here called safety city. Officer Friendly and her crew teach the soon to be kindergartners about safety. They learn all about traffic signs, seat belts, bike helmets, fires, ambulances and much more. I absolutely love the program and was so impressed with it when Monty was in it so I was super excited for Ella to be in it. She was able to be in it with her friend, Addie. Addie’s older sister, Biene was one of the helpers so Ella was very comfortable going there, which was a huge relief for me :). They had a little graduation and everything and all the kids got a smoke detector and bike helmet and they were selling bike helmets there so I purchased one for me!

Daddy Daughter Date

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

We try to have dates with our kiddos one on one. It sure is fun to have time with each one individually and oh so important. That is something my dad always tried to do and I will always treasure those times even if I didn’t act like it at the time. Well Todd decided to take Ella to go see the Hannah Montana movie (ok so he just wanted a good excuse to go see it :)) Ella was so excited. They got a big thing of popcorn and a large rootbeer they sat down and Ella accidently dropped the entire soda in his lap oops. :)

Yes I am one of those moms I had to go to take a picture next to the sign. :)

My little runner

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Zach and Kristy came for a visit we sure do look forward to seeing them and again had a wonderful time. Zach always talks to Monty about running and they decided to have a race. Monty decided to get on his scooter while Zach ran.

So here they are at the start. Monty had a little trick up his sleeve they started going and Monty kept looking over at Zach he then whipped his scooter and took off running it was so funny.

Here they come and they tied! (Zach only had him on his back for a little bit so that doesn’t count right?) :)

Walkin’ in the rain

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Well my dear friend Sue asked if I wanted to do a 1/4 marathon walk with her. I thought that would be great because Sue and I never get to see each other so this would be a great excuse to get together. Boy oh boy I don’t know how anyone can run a marathon! Yowsers!! Although I must say I really did have a wonderful time.

It rained the entire time but I will definitely do it again next year :)

This walk took place in Stevens Point and you cannot go to Stevens Point without stopping at Belts for some good ol ice cream.

ok so thats not what we ordered but that is a cone at Belts that I took a pic of because I just couldn’t believe it.¬† Well I look forward to it again next year. Thanks Sue!!

A fun weekend

Monday, June 8th, 2009

We went to our friend Kelly’s wedding in Campbellsport and had a wonderful time. We were able to see college friends we havent seen forever and catch up with each other. It was really nice. And of course the bride was stunning wish I would have gotten a picture of the bride and groom.

We stayed at my sister-in-laws house and had a really great time there too. She watched the kiddos for us and they had a blast. They were able to go to the park, zoo and pool! Wow huh?

Here they are at the park. Yes people already ask if they are twins. There latest thing is wearing matching shirts they ask me all the time if they can match (Monty does too) of course I am a goof ball and have no problem with that because I think it is dang cute. :)

dancing in the rain?

Monday, June 8th, 2009

Ella and I were able to go see the BYU dancers at the Grand awhile ago and had a blast. It was so fun going on a mother daughter date. :)

Ella had the best time she couldn’t stop laughing when they told us it was going to be a funny number and that it was ok to laugh. She laughed so loud and couldn’t stop. The boys were at home enjoying a wonderful time with our dear friend, Cheri. She brought an awesome game and the boys absolutely loved it. Todd had to go out of town for work so that is how Ella ended up with his ticket. :)

Way to go Ella!

Sunday, June 7th, 2009

Because I haven’t been blogging I need to catch up on a lot of stuff so I figured I would slowly try and get caught up! Well little miss Ella had her dance recital. It was so fun to watch. She absolutely loved it especially when Monty gave her flowers at the end. However this year when he handed them to her he said, “Here’s some flowers for you Ella, but you really didn’t do that good”. Oh the love. :) He then told her she wasn’t doing the same thing the other kids were for example when they were sitting she was still standing.

We had really great cake to celebrate Ella’s dance recital and were very excited the grandparents Aunts and some friends were able to make it to the recital.
