Family Reunion

My grandparents wanted to get all their 54 great grandchildren together so why not on my grandpa’s 95th birthday? We had an awesome Family reunion. It was so fun to see everyone and especially all the little kids. Growing up I can remember playing at the restaurant with my cousins we would play red rover, tag and tons more we met there for holidays, special gatherings and on Saturdays. I have so many wonderful memories. What a great place to hold a family reunion. I only wish it could have been even longer so I could catch up with everyone. I just thought every family got together like ours and didn’t realize how special it really was until I was older. I am ever so grateful for my grandparents and all the special memories.

Isn’t that awesome it even made the newspaper! Here are some fun pics from our reunion.

Each family wore different colored shirts. Our family got blue. We are missing my brother Zach and his wife Kristi :( They were unable to make it due to Zach’s new job and his training. Argh.

We had a lot of awesome games, food and fun. The kids dug in woodchips to find money, there were 3 pinatas, parachute, bouncy house, mini golf, arts and crafts, raffle, bean bag toss and lots more!  My grandma had them put up a temporary fence for the kids and got awesome family friends to watch the kids 4 us! She made amazing food on Friday and ordered yummy chicken on Saturday. No one left hungry that is forsure. There was definitely a lot of work that went into the reunion and I thank all those who helped with it. Ohhhh Ohhh I almost forgot to mention we all were able to leave with a yearbook type thing that had pics of each family, addresses, #’s and info. It was absolutely amazing inside there was also a list of everyone’s bdays and anniversary’s. How great is that?

Wow! Now that’s a family reunion, complete with color coded t-shirts and family phone book! This is the kind of family I wish I was from. You are so lucky to know your grandparents, I never knew mine. Looks like a wonderful day for all, both kids and adults!

All those smiling faces, all those loving hearts…just because two very special people fell in love!

You are truly blessed to be surrounded and embraced by such a wonderful family.

It always warms my heart to think about your wonderful family! What’s amazing is that, I’m sure there are so many other people (like me) that have spent time with you all and have felt like family, just because of your family’s loving acceptance, open arms welcome and hospitality. What a wonderful way to celebrate 95 years for Grandpa Ponczoch!
