Doing well

Sunday, November 11th, 2007

It’s been a couple of weeks since I posted here. My intention was that Charity would do much of the posting, so those of you who actually read this and are in contact with Charity, tell her to post something!

The family is doing quite well. Oliver is growing quickly. I really don’t have a good excuse for not posting pictures of him, but I’m not going to just yet. Our camera broke shortly after my last post (way back in October!). That could have been a good excuse, but it’s not. A friend of ours let us borrow her camera until ours is fixed.

Halloween was a blast. Our church always has a Trunk or Treating activity close to Halloween. Everyone parks their cars in the church parking lot and opens their trunk. All of the kids (little and big!) run from trunk to trunk grabbing tons of candy. So we get a ton there. Then I took Monty, Ella and Calvin trick or treating around our neighborhood for about 2 hours on Halloween. They got tons of candy. We won’t need any for a while at least.

We had a bit of a scare tonight. It really turned out to be no big deal at all, but it freaked me out because I don’t know anything about this stuff.  It really would have freaked my Mom out!  In April we had a new furnace installed. Tonight I was cleaning up in the basement. While cleaning I smelled some natural gas. It was just by the furnace. I called the guy who installed it to see if we should be worried. He was out working anyway (9:00 on a Sunday night, crazy!), so he said he’d stop by. Turns out there was a small leak. He just needed to tighten something and everything was good again. He said it was too small of a leak to do anything.

So long for now. I’ll try to get more pictures up soon. This week we have a guy coming to frame our basement, so maybe I’ll finally get up some remodeling pictures.
